This week, two men have literally frozen to death on the streets of Toronto - one of them was wearing jeans and a t-shirt in -20 degree weather. This isn't right.
While shelters and warming centres are open to help, there is more that can be done to help see that no one else has to die on the streets during this crazy Canadian weather.
Thanks to a handful of my awesome real estate colleagues who got the ball rolling, the real estate community is running a warm clothing drive this week, called The #RealGiving Project.
The last day to donate is tomorrow, Friday January 9th.
If you have any warm clothes, jackets, blankets, gloves, and most importantly, socks that you can donate (new or used) please let me know. Karly@KarlyMoore.ca
I would be happy to arrange to pick it up from you, or you can drop it off at one of the real estate offices listed below. Drop offs must be made by 5pm on Friday at the latest.
If you don't have any items to donate, The #RealGiving Project is also accepting online cash donations that will be used to buy as much warmness as possible! You can donate by visiting the project's website, and clicking Buy Tickets.
Please let me know if you have any items you would like to donate and I can coordinate a pick up time with you.
Thank you so much for helping!
